Lucy started her business, Lucy Locks, in 2014. Having initially studied fashion and textiles, Lucy then followed her passion to become a stylist and worked in salons, and could not help but notice there was scope to own a business for herself.
She says it's great to get back to doing what she loves independently, with a bit of life experience behind her. She finds meeting new clients and seeing them return particularly rewarding and loves making people feel good about themselves.
Keeping up her online presence as well as arranging and managing her day to day diary of clients is all part of her job and says that most of her work comes through word of mouth and media. She hopes that her biggest achievement is still ahead of her.
When she was younger she always wanted to be in the fashion industry and says if her job could be anywhere in the world, she would choose Italy.
She describes herself as determined and credits this for making her start up a success. If she would have one 90s album on in the office for a day she says it would have to be Alanis Morrisette - Jagged Little Pill.
